Y’all, this week’s grocery shopping was a struggle. I haven’t done a big grocery shop in ages, because I’ve been getting deliveries. But this week we decided to brave the supermarket – I did not enjoy it. I do pretty much all of my shopping online because it’s so much more efficient, and it’s a lot less tempting to just throw random things in my cart. Plus of course you don’t have to worry about waiting in line at the check-out, carrying everything out to the car, getting it all into your apartment… clearly this is not my favorite activity!
We survived the outing though – and Zoe loves the grocery store – and I’m here to tell you all about what we bought.

My number one tip when grocery shopping, whether online or in person, is to go in with a plan. Whenever I don’t have clear recipe ideas in mind, I always end up with a bunch of random ingredients, and no clear cut meals. This leads to both over spending and food waste, both of which are things that I am desperately trying to cut down on.
Here’s a peek at this week’s menu, for breakfast – lunch – dinner:
As you can see I don’t usually meal plan for the weekend. We will eat leftovers to clear out the fridge a bit, or get take-out, or eat out in restaurants! Meal planning a full week – at least for now – is just a little bit more than I’m willing to commit to!
I hope this gives you a bit of meal inspiration, and good luck shopping if you decide to brave the grocery store this weekend 🙈
